Scotty McCormick Jr. is a Kansas City music fixture.He has played for more than 20 years as part of a host of bands, and as a solo, using his unique voice and arrangements to please audiences from large venues to intimate bars. He's played Sandstone and other big venues but his real love is entertaining intimate groups with music that moves their souls.
In some roles, he's known as "Jr. JB" due to his incredible sound as a tribute to Widespread Panic. But his blues voice is distinctive...bringing a new sound to old tunes, and a style that has made him sought after by a wide variety of venues. From Bob Seger to John Prine, Tom Waits to The Beatles, he gets his audience to sing along and walk away going, "That was a good time."
His originals speak to his audience, while his covers get them up dancing. His goal is always to make it a memorable night for all who attend...to make wherever he plays a memory that brings them back. Whether Kansas City, or elsewhere.
